Map of Miskatonic Univerisity

19 Sep

A map for freshmen  and visitors to Miskatonic University, Arkham. It shows the key buildings and street names. I produced in black and white as a period play aid for my Call of Cthulhu campaign.

Parts of this map are based this off a samples  floating around online as well as incorporating a some of the descriptions given by Lovecraft himself.

I added in the bell tower because I needed an appropriate suicide spot for an unfortunate student who’d delved too deeply into esoteric lore.

There is an official Chaosium version but I wanted something that looked as though the university administration office might have issued it (rather than a GM aid).

I’ve included a PDF and SVG version (for those who what to go in and make their own edits).

If I may suggest, regarding the campus phone number:
    http://tinyurl.com/arkham-phonenumbers
Main switchboard: 978-271-2300 (older format, ARkham 1-2300).
    Unassigned in the real world.
ZIP Code, used after 1964: 01914.

Also, if you look at HPLHS props made 2008 and after, the newer Miskatonic seals use a different motto… not that you’re under any obligation to keep up with them! You can use whichever version you prefer.

(After 1961, 978-643-5000, i.e. MIskatonic 3-5000, to expand the switchboard.)

Ahh yes… I wasn’t sure if anyone would pick that up. I only learnt about exchanges just recently. I’ve updated the file and upload it again. That’s an excellent link btw, very useful resource.
